Warm greeting and samples when you walk in. Great experience every time. Pro tip: this is a great place to impress friends/coworkers with unique, tasty treats at various price points. Used to live around the corner right when they opened, man I took this place for granted! Just tried the spinach pie for first time today. Heaven!

They could charge money to just come in and enjoy the scent of this wonderful place! I would pay! A beautiful, clean bakery with a large assortment of delectable things. I tasted the baklava, which was heavenly, but opted this time for the semolina cake with nuts, a cheese pie and a spinach pie. I have to say, I was disappointed for a moment that the pies were not made with filo but were the large triangular bread ones. I assume that's a regional thing. I've had those in the past and haven't been wowed...until now! The bread on these is soft and delicious and the fillings were both so fresh and well spiced. I guess I just haven't had a good, fresh version of these til now. I loved them, as well as the semolina cake. Will definitely be back to try more things here!

I walked in the neighborhood and saw that place on the way, smelled it from miles away!! And just from the smell alone, you can tell it’s so authentic and so so good. The verity is huge, and you can taste everything... I literally wanted to take everything home, but I bought the dates, baklava, and halva. It’s tough to find good dates in NYC but they are delicious you must try it! This is the time to help the community and help small businesses. The owner and staff are so kind and really lovely people ITS A MUST VISIT PLACE. Thank me later (;

Handcrafted baklava baked fresh daily!

The Najjar family has been making Baklava & other sweet delights for over a century in their home city of Tripoli.

In the early 20th century the family moved to New York. They brought their history and skill in making the most delightful baked sweets, to make it easily available to the community.

Today, Brooklyn Baklava stands as a 21st century interpretation of the family tradition in the heart of Brooklyn.

Stop in at 42 4th Avenue (btwn. Pacific St. & Deean St.) to sample the Baklava recipes that spans centuries of family history across continents and time.

We're located in the heart of Brooklyn, just steps from the world famous Barclays Center and the Atlantic Center subway station.
